Academic internship
Academic placements connecting students with partner institutions.
General overview
Casa Life works to provide regularly enrolled students and members, of all nationalities, with academic internship offers in diverse fields: sciences, technologies, nursing, medicine, linguistics, and more.
To benefit from these internships, certain conditions must be met. The duration varies between 1 and 12 months depending on availability.
Implementation
Casa Life acts as a facilitator between Cameroonian and German institutions. Teachers propose internship themes, which are collected and shared with candidates through our website and other channels.
Once a theme is chosen, in-depth exchanges confirm the topic and the acceptance of the candidate(s).
Objectives and impact
Mobility is essential for sharing knowledge and experience. It helps interns discover new realities, overcome barriers, and gain autonomy.
According to recent German government statistics, around 7,000 Cameroonian students are enrolled in higher education in Germany for the 2024/2025 academic year. The number of Cameroonians in vocational training exceeds 1,000 for the same year.
Direct academic exchanges between the two countries remain limited and should benefit from this initiative. In the long term, a dual degree should be possible. We also aim to support the creation of German universities in Cameroon and launch a civic platform to synchronize academic actions between partners.
